Lighting design for the Czech and European market.

Curator opens your DWG, DXF, IFC, or OSM files. From the import it automatically reads buildings, storeys, and rooms — no manual redrawing required. Choose luminaires from the catalog or upload your own .ies / .ldt files. Em, UGR, Uo, and Ra are recalculated immediately when you move a luminaire. PDF reports according to ČSN in Czech. No AutoCAD or Revit required.

Workflow

How Curator works

Click a tab for details. The process is always the same: load a project, choose luminaires, run the calculation, and export the report.

Project tab — building / storey / room tree on the left, 2D floor plan in the middle, room inspector on the right

Project. Open DWG, DXF, IFC, or OSM — Curator automatically recognizes buildings, storeys, and rooms and arranges them in a tree. No manual room tracing. The 3D view runs smoothly and can open larger drawings without freezing.

Catalog tab — vendor list on the left, 3D room interior in the middle, fixture inspector on the right

Catalog. Curator works with any .ies or .ldt file — drop it into the catalog folder and the application loads it on next launch. Currently bundling data from several manufacturers for development; the final shipping set will be specified later. Each bundled product carries a link to the manufacturer’s public datasheet for source verification.

Compute tab — EN 12464-1 PASS verdict at the top, room list, Czech / Slovak / EN-baseline country presets, standards list

Compute. EN 12464-1, EN 17037, EN 1838 and ČSN verdicts per room. PASS / FAIL / UNAVAILABLE, every contributing measurement traceable. Synthesized photometry blocks PASS by design — no false-positive compliance reports.

Czech-language compliance PDF — per-room audit with Latin Extended-A diacritics; honest ‘unavailable’ line where task profile is not set

Reports. Czech-language compliance PDF. Per-room audit trail — dimensions, reflectances, luminaire summary, illuminance map — in plain text with full diacritics. If a task profile is not set, the report says “unavailable” rather than fabricating a verdict.

Editing through 2D sections

Edit anything through its 2D section.

Each element — wall, window, luminaire, sensor, or evaluation surface — opens in its corresponding 2D view and can be edited in a few clicks. Curator shows only the parameters that are actually needed for the given change.

Standards

Bundled catalog

Open catalog. No registration and no vendor lock-in.

Curator works with any .ies or .ldt file — just place it in the catalog folder and the application will load it on the next launch. No registrations, no API keys, no downloading extra libraries. Below are the manufacturers whose data is currently integrated for development. The final bundled set will be specified later.

Bega Erco Fagerhult Glamox iGuzzini Ledvance Philips Trilux Zumtobel

All luminaire data comes from publicly available manufacturer datasheets and photometric data; each value includes a link for source verification. The goal is to ship an updated catalog with each new version of Curator, so discontinued or unavailable luminaires do not remain in the application. The catalog version and date of its last update are shown in the application status bar.
